'Empyre' Co-Writer Dan Slott Answers Quickfire Questions About Marvel's New Comic Event

All the info you need to know... like is a hot dog a sandwich?

EMPYRE has officially begun! The first issue of Marvel's cosmic comic event is on sale now, and series co-writer Dan Slott sat down for a few questions with Lorraine Cink that may or may not reveal everything you've ever wanted to know about the Kree, the Skrulls, and hot dog sandwiches!

Here are a few highlights from the video, which you can watch above!

Will other alien races join up with the Kree and the Skrulls?

Humans?

What do the Shi'ar think about the Kree-Skrull alliance?

Keep the Shi'ar where the Shi'ar are. We aren't doing what the Shi'ar are, we're doing what the Shi'ar isn't.

Would you rather be a Kree or a Skrull?

I would rather be a Skrull. ...  [Y]ou could be, like, anybody. I can't get into that restaurant. I'm Leonardo DiCaprio.

Why is Hulkling the Kree-Skrull leader?

Because of his destiny.

What can you tell us about Hulkling's sword?

It's magical.

Is a hot dog a sandwich?

No. Because if you took the bun away, it is still a hot dog.

There you have it, Marvelites! Still no spoilers for EMPYRE #1, written by Slott and Al Ewing with art by Valerio Schiti, but according to Dan Slott, a hot dog is NOT a sandwich!
