New on Marvel Unlimited: the stage will be set for Krakoa’s upcoming battle in X OF SWORDS, starting with MARAUDERS #11 and X-FORCE #11!
Both of these issues fall under the “Path to X OF SWORDS,” the prelude arc to the culminating event that will pull mutantkind’s home world into a battle for the Omniverse. A tower. A mission. A gathering of armies. Who will be the sword-bearing champions of Opal Luna Saturnyne, Omniversal Majestrix of the Starlight Citadel?
As teased in POWERS OF X #4, Apocalypse and his First Horsemen faced an otherworldly invasion for Okkara, the primordial island that was the forebearer to Krakoa. To save this world, Apocalypse had to split Okkara in two while trapping his Horsemen, and family, in another dimension. Krakoa remained on Earth, while the newly formed “Arakko” was lost with his first Horsemen. But Apocalypse’s children are back, and Arakko seeks unification with its whole.
Over the next few weeks, the following issues will build the “Path To” as well, laying the groundwork for mutantkind’s contest of champions. See what issues you’ll need to read before X OF SWORDS here, and countdown to X OF SWORDS: CREATION #1, hitting Marvel Unlimited on December 28.
