Assistant District Attorney Mason Hollis donned the identity of Crime-Wave, and ran a criminal organization in Manhattan, New York. His organization was mostly into racketeering and they were feared throughout the East coast. Some of the known associates of his organization were the Stunt-Master who Crime-Wave hired to kill Daredevil, however, Daredevil easily defeated Stunt-Master; Torpedo a contract killer from Los Angeles, California hired to kill the blind ex-cop Willie Lincoln, although, Torpedo fell to his death after being pushed off a rooftop by Lincoln.
