So, who are these gallant gamers going for the gold? Here’s a rundown of the three Marvel gamers you’ll see in the Marvel Contest of Champions: Summoner Showdown in Week 6!
OldManCanned from Bakersfield, California originally hails from jolly old England! When he isn’t playing Marvel Contest of Champions, he's making YouTube videos. His style of play is “all-out attack,” so everyone else better be on their marks! OldManCanned says the most difficult game challenge for him was Ice Phoenix. His most used champions are Void, Corvus Glaive, and Aegon, and he's coming to the Summoner Showdown with nothing but respect: “The competitors are all great players. I’ve watched gameplay from the majority of them.”
Next up is mvinceable from Milpitas, California. Born in the Philippines, mvinceable has been collecting Marvel Comics since he was a little kid and has always compared the stats and skills of the characters – now, he does the same while playing Marvel Contest of Champions! He likes a challenge and will often use an outmatched champ against a powerful one to showcase as many different moves as possible, finishing things off with a satisfying SP3. He once took down the Realm of Legends Winter Soldier in less than 10 hits using a 4-Star champion with only 9 hits using Thor. His most used champions are Doctor Voodoo, Iceman, and Star-Lord, but he has the most fun with Doctor Strange.
This week's final player is mutamatt from Tulsa, Oklahoma. What brought mutamatt to Marvel Contest of Champions? The rich strategy, smooth gameplay, and detailed artwork – but the community is what keeps him playing. He plays for fun but also writes and creates tools to advise players online. He mostly plays the story mode and alliance modes and wants to win to show that an okay player can get lucky and beat some of the greatest players in the community. His most used champions are Quake, Corvus Glaive, and Psylock. His message for everyone? “Have fun!!"
And those are your plucky players for Week 6 of the Marvel Contest of Champions: Summoner Showdown! Which one will win their ticket to New York Comic Con? You’ll find out tomorrow!
After watching the livestream, come on back to Marvel.com for a recap to see what went down and who’s going to New York Comic Con 2019 for the ultimate showdown!
