So, who are these gallant gamers going for the gold? Here’s a rundown of the three Marvel gamers you’ll see in the Marvel Contest of Champions: Summoner Showdown in Week 9!
Atromix from Columbus, Ohio specializes in audio and video production when he isn't gaming. He’s hoping to win this contest as a first step in his grand comeback into the Marvel Contest of Champions community. He describes his play style as “perfect intercept,” and his favorite types of challenges are fighting new champions with unheard of abilities and learning how to counter them. His favorite quest was Labyrinth of Legends. Atromix's most used champions are Iceman, Corvus Glaive, and Namor.
Lagacy of Edmonton, Alberta, says he's a tactically aggressive player who once played for 24 hours straight and streamed the entire thing while battling for Omega Red in Arena as a featured champion. He knows he’ll win because he’s good at thinking outside the box to come up with strategies not everyone would think to use. His most used champions are Spider-Man (Stark-Enhanced), Symbiote Supreme, and Ghost. Lagacy’s gaming mantra is to “stay calm, cool and collected.”
Craftygrinding from Cincinnati, Ohio loves Marvel Contest of Champions because it reminds him of the classic fighting games of his youth. His method of play is “deliberate and methodical.” His favorite types of challenges are arena "grinding" and event missions where Deadpool interacts with the narrator. His most used champions are Blade, Spider-Man (Stark-Enhanced), and Corvus Glaive. His motto: “I don't grind often, but when I do I make sure to crafty grind.”
And those are your plucky players for Week 9 of the Marvel Contest of Champions: Summoner Showdown! Which one will win their ticket to New York Comic Con? You’ll find out tomorrow!
