Marvel at New York Comic Con 2019: Day 1 Recap

It was a grand opening day for Marvel at New York Comic Con 2019, and the fun is just beginning! Tons of news and excitement took place at the Marvel Booth (#1354), the Marvel panels, and beyond. Here's all the merry Marvel mania that happened on Day 1 at New York Comic Con 2019!

• Star, the breakout character from CAPTAIN MARVEL, will get her own limited series written by her co-creator Kelly Thompson with covers by her other co-creator Carmen Carnero!

• See the collaboration between Marvel and Adidas unveiled on Marvel Live!

• A series of books based on the Ravencroft Institute will arrive in January. RUINS OF RAVENCROFT follows the events of ABSOLUTE CARNAGE and come from the mind of writer Frank Tieri.
• Five THE END one-shots will tell the final tales of your favorite Marvel heroes, spanning the near future to the end of the universe.

• Kabam, creators of MARVEL Contest of Champions, and Marvel Games have teamed up to bring us an all new MARVEL Realm of Champions which will allow players to align with Marvel-inspired factions and team up with friends (or play solo) for real-time action arena combat against in order to win control over this brand new location.

• This Week in Marvel announced the next comic series to come out of the Gamerverse of Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4: MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN: THE BLACK CAT STRIKES by Dennis "Hopeless" Hallum and Luca Maresca will cross our paths in January.

• Marvel fans on the con floor offered up their tips on conquering New York Comic Con.
