'S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 6 Teaser Reminds You That Coulson Is Dead

The teaser for Season 6 of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is here, and it sets up everything you need to know for what to expect for the upcoming season when it returns this summer.

1. The New Status Quo

The teaser trailer, above, opens with Phil Coulson laying out what Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie needs to do now that he's Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.—establish a team that you can trust. We immediately see that this is a holographic Coulson projected from Fury's black box reminding you that yes, COULSON IS DEAD.

Heavy is the weight that Director Mack bears—he takes responsibility for everyone.

2. Philinda

Agent May got to spend a little extra time with Coulson until the bittersweet end.

3. Where In the World (Er, Galaxy) Is Leopold Fitz?

True Believers, despite the devastating Season 5 finale, our beloved Fitz is still out there. Well, another timeline Fitz is frozen and floating through space awaiting his team to thaw him out. Simmons is on the hunt to be reunited with her husband.

4. Ladies' Night

Chloe Bennet revealed Quake's new Season 6 look back in November, and you can now witness it in action!

5. NONSTOP ACTION!

In a series of scenes, we witness the level of intensities of adventures we can expect this upcoming season. Natalia Cordova Buckley's Yo-Yo, Jeff Ward's Deke, Briana Venskus' Piper are all in on the action. As is the ever hilarious Chronicom anthropoligist Enoch!

6. Season 6 Baddies

We catch a couple glimpses of this season's baddies. Who they are and what they want is still a mystery. All we know, according to Director Mack, is that they're extremely powerful.

7. CLARK GREGG?!?!??!?!?!?!

In the teaser's monumental reveal at the end, a voice states, "You're from S.H.I.E.L.D." Lo and behold, from the shadows, Clark Gregg turns around and casually says, "Never heard of it." TRUE BELIEVERS, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

"S.H.I.E.L.D." returns with Season 6 this upcoming summer, with a confirmed renewal of Season 7!
